Craigavon is a triangular shawl, knit sideways from tip-to-tip. It starts at one tip, and is worked with increases on one edge until the desired width is achieved, and then the second half is worked with decreases to the opposite tip.

The Garter Ridge Stitch is a simple, classic pattern. Alternating rows of smooth stockinette stitch and garter stitch add texture and visual interest.

The pattern is relaxing and intuitive – you will know exactly when to increase or decrease, and when to knit or purl. It is the perfect project for socializing and conversation as you knit-along.

The pattern includes handy tables to help you keep track of stitch counts and pattern repeats.

The width and length are easily customizable to your desired size, and the amount of yarn you have available. Each section can be adjusted to your liking, by working more or fewer pattern repeats.

Craigavon was designed for Aran weight yarn, but will look equally lovely in a lighter weight yarn.

The shape can easily be modified to a shallow, crescent shawl. Instructions are included in the pattern.
