Crater Cowl
This cowl’s large eyelets bring to mind the mysterious large craters that have been popping up all over Siberia lately. The color also reminds me of the old saying “the moon is made of green cheese,” and as we all know, the moon is riddled with craters. And so, the name stuck. :)
This crocheted cowl is worked in the round lengthwise from the bottom up. A series of crochet shells or fans and large decorative holes add visual interest to this piece.
It can be made from any worsted weight yarn you wish. One skein of Misti Alpaca Tonos in the colorway Grinch Green was used to make the cowl in the photos. This yarn is sinfully soft and has wonderful subtle color variations throughout.
