Imagine the adventures these quirky little crayon friends will have! Learning colors is fun with this adorable set! And it’s even great for older kids who know their colors and love acting out their own stories.

I made mine with the 10 colors of the standard school pack, but you can make yours in any colors you like! The pattern includes the instructions for the crayons and their storage box.

This pattern is written in English and uses American crochet terminology. It includes lots of photos along with step-by-step instructions.

Materials
Worsted Weight Yarn:
3mm and 4mm hooks
Embroidery Floss
Poly-fil
Plastic canvas
Yarn needle, straight pins, scissors, skewer for stuffing
Closure for box such as magnets, velcro or snaps

Size:
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished product will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. Made with the materials listed, the crayons measure about 4” tall and the box is about 5” square. Using a thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield smaller items. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in larger items. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.

Skill Level:
The pattern is written for advanced beginner to intermediate crocheters and beyond. The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. Experience working with plastic canvas is also helpful.
