Crayon Stripes Top
A button-front top that’s perfect to use as a cardigan over a cami or tank top. Close fitting with waist shaping and cap sleeves, color and textural interest are added by working in two-color linen stitch, and using the “wrong side” of the pattern as the right side of the garment. A row of single crochet is added along the front and neck edges to finish off the top.
Decreases and increases for the waist shaping are worked into the pattern stitch to maintain the pattern at the sides of the body.
The short cap sleeves are worked in linen stitch in the round, then back and forth once the cap shaping begins.
