The “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” scarf is based on the Celtic Lover’s Knot stitch, also called the Solomon’s Knot. Either way, it’s an easy fun stitch that makes an amazingly soft, fluffy and textured scarf. No need to feel intimidated by this stitch! I’ve included a written and photo tutorial on how to do the single and double Lover’s Knot. It’s as easy as making one big loopy chain and doing a single crochet in that strand of yarn behind a chain that we call the “bump”. That’s it!

This pattern uses fingering or sock weight yarn. I especially love the Knit Picks Stroll Tonal yarn for this scarf. This yarn is super soft and lightweight and makes an all seasons scarf. Also, the Malabrigo Mechita and MadelineTosh Merino Light makes a similar gorgeous scarf.

If you love my “You’ve Got a Friend” scarf, you will love this pattern also. It produces an open, lightweight, loopy scarf that you can loosely drape around your neck. Or, easily customize this scarf by making it wider and make a wrap or a shawl.
