I admire creating owls:-) This one is my crazy - she is like me, workinng through the night and looks a little bit crazy :-)
Using this pattern you could create pendant, key chain, hanger or applique. You could make many color combination, use buttons or beads for embellishment. It is great gift :-)

Reccommended material:
Yarn weight: Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi) 100% cotton
e.g. Catania Originals by Schachenmayr SMC, Yardage: 136 yards (124 meters)
Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces), Gauge: 26.0 sts = 4 inches

You will need these colors:
222 light pink about 9 g, then small amount of: 208 yellow, 281 orange, 115 red, 113 violet, 114 hot pink, 106 white, 236 pistachio, 146 turquoise. You will need about 25 g of yarn totally.

Important note: The shade of pistachio green No. 236 is not available anymore, but you could also use No. 392 – yellow-green shade.

Hook: 3 mm
Other material: needle with blunt tip, 2 pieces of black buttons average 10 mm, sewing needle, sewing threads, flower button by Dress it up average 1,5 cm, tiny heart button average 8 m, small piece of brown thin embroidery cotton thread.

Suggested yarn for the bill: some pompoms yarn e.g. Spark a Doodle by Red Heart . I used pompom yarn named Alfa (color 67) by www.vlnika.cz. But I wrote instruction for crocheted bill also :-)

Size of finished owl: height 10.5 cm ( 4.1 inches) measured without legs x width 7 cm (2.8 inches) measured without wings

Level: intermediate. Basic skills of crocheting are needed.
