I thought that it would be fun to design something for the adventuresome knitter who might enjoy a foray into the area of multidirectional knitting. This jacket, admittedly quite challenging, is surprisingly straightforward and foolproof, if you follow the instructions exactly. Make yours in one solid color for a more classic look, or go multitexture and multicolor if a bold and dramatic look is more to your liking.

No matter how you choose to individualize your Crazy Quilt Jacket, the process is sure to fascinate you and keep you moving forward. You will not be bored, and the result of your efforts is guaranteed to provoke a response from those who see it.

The hip measurement is 56” if knitted in a gauge of 5 sts = 1” on a size 6 needle, and 60” if knit in a gauge of 4 sts = 1” on a size 7 needle; you can achieve other sizes above, below, or between these by varying your needle size and/or weight of yarn.
