multidirectional knitting. This shawl is surprisingly quick and foolproof if you follow the instructions exactly. Make your shawl in
one, two, or many colors. Dress it up with ribbons and other novelty yarns, dress it down in plainer cottons or wools, or mix your
metaphors with denim, ribbons, and novelties all in the same shawl! You will not be bored, and the result of your efforts is
guaranteed to evoke a response from all who see it. The gauge of 5 sts = 1” on a #6 needle is based upon a one-color
