This pattern is an absolute breeze, easily memorizable and fun to knit! Named for the funky back and forth way the patterning looks, created by just a few differences in repeat lengths and the purl ridges, they look like lots of little sailboat sails!

This pattern is very versatile, since it’s quite stretchy, the one size will fit heads from 16” - 22” in circumference at the gauge written. There are sizing suggestions for making the hat slouchier or more tight fitting, depending on the recipient’s head size!
