Creagan
Creagan is worked in a luscious pure alpaca yarn and an interesting stitch pattern, reminiscent of the textures found on the rocky coasts along northern seas. Although it may look much more complicated, this stitch pattern is very easy to memorize because it’s created with basic decreases and simple yarn overs.
The cowl knits up quickly and is appropriate for men and women, which makes Creagan a great last-minute gift project. The size of the cowl is easy to customize thanks to the small pattern repeat; it can be made to fit anyone, from a small child to a large adult.
Directions are included for two sizes, a 400-yard infinity cowl (in photos) and a 200-yard neckwarmer (not pictured). Please note that the yardage and the finished measurements listed are for the 400-yard infinity cowl, the smaller neckwarmer will have similar width and about half of the length.
Pattern was originally exclusive to the Ply! Yarn, Art & Handwovens during the 2017 Hill Country Yarn Crawl.
