Creature Comforts
From the pattern description:
This cosy felted rug will warm you up on those chilly winter nights.
The idea for this snug rug came about from one of Jennifer’s first knitting experimentations - a lovingly worked poncho that shrank down to a felted rectangle and has since been used as a throw, a blanket and a rug. She has always liked circular rugs and played with possible ways to make a circle inside a circle, yet construct the rug in pieces, as she didn’t relish the thought of carrying around the almost finished piece!
Tip from pattern:
The Freedom Wool from Twilleys of Stamford felts very quickly and easily into a lovely, dense and firm fabric. Stormy blues with a grey tinge make this very easy, dramatic piece. No special techniques are used for this rug: it is worked in quarters with a selvedge to ease the making up at the end. Increases are worked every fourth row evenly along the needle.
