Pattern Notes: The Ceemee Swirl Shawl is a circular shawl knit from the center out. The KAL kit colorways are for alternating colors of wedges. The knitting is easy and relaxing, for chilling out and getting ready for spring. But the intarsia makes it challenging enough to not be boring. If you’ve never done intarsia before, this is a great first project, because it’s large color blocks meaning you don’t have to change colors so often. And, because you can spit-splice this yarn, there are only TWO ENDS to weave in after the knitting is complete.

SKILL LEVEL: For intermediate to expert knitters. Techniques and Tutorials:
• Intarsia in the round
• Spit splicing (you don’t really have to spit)
• Knitting lace in wedges
• Circular knitting
• Starting the border

SCHEDULE:
• March 14 – Swatch, CO, work center, and set up lace
• March 17 – Starting the intarsia sections, spit splicing
• March 21 – Adding more repeats to the lace sections
• March 28 – Adding more repeats to the lace sections
• April 4 – Border, knit perpendicularly
• April 11 – Blocking
