Creme de Yvette
Creme de Yvette is a quick and easy pullover, featuring textured rib details on a background of reverse stockinette. The detail is worked a little differently on cuff and lower body, and is echoed in the lines of the raglan yoke.
I’m always a fan of O-Wool’s yarns, which are responsibly sourced and spun, then dyed in such beautiful shades. Her organic fibers are gorgeous, and the O-Wool Chunky made for a soft, satisfying sweater. Plus, this sophisticated lavender shade is just perfect.
Both body and sleeves for Creme de Yvette are knit from the bottom up in the round, then joined at the yoke. Raglan shaping continues upwards, shaping the sweater in the round to the neckline, where short rows finish the neckline.
Texture is both charted and written, and pattern contains notes on how to modify length, width, neckline, or sleeves for your taste.
If substituting yarn, a fabric without a lot of elasticity is best to avoid differences in gauge between rib detail and the reverse stockinette body. Be sure to swatch in both motifs, and adjust needle size for ribbing if needed to prevent puckering.
