Crescendo Shawl is an asymmetrical shawl, crocheted side to side in one piece featuring stripes that progressively grow in size after each color change.

Crescendo is a musical term that indicates a gradual increase in volume. Just as this shawl gradual grows in size as is being worked.

Row after row, each stripe is increased, adding a subtle but eye-catching effect. These stripes combined with the use of variegated yarn, not only adds a unique contrast but also makes the shawl look more intricate while remaining an easy project created using only basic crochet stitches.
