Crescent Motif Shawl
This pattern is made in one piece, with the edging worked at the same time the body of the shawl is made. The shawl is made working side to side, while increasing every other row on the straight edge to begin. Once the depth of the shawl is reached you will work even to maintain the depth. Once the length is almost reached you will decrease every other row to match the opposite side.
This Shawl can also be customized to fit your desires.
YARN
3 skeins of Comfy Fingering Weight Yarn by KnitPicks- samples show in Whisker (grey), Seafoam and Ivory (cream and blue). For Best results and a duplicate look I recommend using this yarn. However, you may use any yarn you choose and with a corresponding hook size. Different weight yarns and hook will give different results. I prefer a cotton/acrylic blend for this design. Approx yardage of fingering weight needed- 600 yards. Different weights will require different amounts.
MATERIALS
G/4.0mm hook. I used my Grape Candy Shop from Furls Crochet OR coordinating hook for yarn chosen
Yarn needle to weave in ends

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (after blocking)
78” long and 10” deep (at deepest/center width)
GAUGE (prior to blocking)
18sts and 8 rows = 4”
Gauge is not critical with this design unless you want to match my specific finished measurements. If you choose to use a different yarn, your gauge will be different than my own.
