A Classic drop sleeve cardigan in Worsted / Aran weight.
It’s easy to knit and requires some shaping at the front neckline.
Shoulder seams were joined using 3 needle bind off
A great pattern if you are familiar with your knitting machine and wish to expand your skills making buttonholes and neck shaping.
It can be knitted with plain, variegated or self-patterning yarn. Use up scraps of yarn to knit stripes or colour blocking.

Prepare a swatch according to the instructions in your knitting machine manual to check the tension before you begin this project.
This project was knitted on a LK150 using Worsted weight 100% acrylic with TD 7.
Since different types of yarn behave differently, it is important to knit a tension swatch.
Some worsted weight yarn may even require up to TD 8.5. This will be fine as long as the tension swatch matches the number of stitches and rows.

The front and back hems were knitted using TD 6 and hand manipulated to 1 x 1 rib. Any type of ribbing can be used. The Tension Dial will be 1 lower (lower tension) than the TD for the cardigan body.

The hems, neckband and button band ribbing were created by hand manipulating to 1×1 rib.
Any Mid gauge knitting machine can be used but be sure to check the gauge before you begin.
If the machine has a ribber attachment, the ribbing can be made automatically.
Hand knitting the ribbing is also an option.
