Cridhe meaning both Heart and Courage in Scottish Gaelic is an advanced level scarf which contains an attractive mixture of bramble stitch and interweaving cables inspired by Scotland’s fibre heritage and landscape.
The finished piece can be adjusted into a cowl by omitting the bramble stitch borders and sewing up the selvedges.
As it is a rectangular scarf gauge isn’t too much of an issue and although the sample given was worked up in a single skein of Sealy MacWheely Hey You Get Off My Cloud you can easily extend the pattern with a second skein for a longer scarf.
This pattern has been designed specially for Sealy MacWheely by Glesga Yarntie, Audrey
