Please use version 1.2 as the instructions for c5f were incorrectly listed as c5b on page 2, and rows 14 and 24 of the charted and written directions had an incorrect stitch.

In this cowl, alternating bobbles at the top and bottom are enclosed and overtaken by simple cable columns. The cables and bobbles look like bubbles streaming up the side of a glass of soda pop. Crigan means “to bubble up” in Old English.

10 stitches and 13 Rows = 5 cm/2 inches in stockinette stitch in the round on US 7 (4.5 mm) needles

Approximate yardage est. 171 g/6 oz. (272 m/297 yds)

Yarn - Poppy Yarn and Fibre Galway Worsted 183 m/115 g (200 yds/4 oz), 1 ball. Colour Hot Tamale. Any currently available Light Worsted (#3) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.

Needles - US 7 (4.5 mm) circular, 22″ / 56 cm long

Notions - Stitch markers, tapestry needle, cable needle
