Crimpled
I prefer longer cowls that can be doubled up for extra warmth, but unwrapped for indoor wear. This design in two sizes (petite/tall) uses a stitch pattern which is very open in appearance, but also has a lot of body; it falls into airy folds that capture light and warmth around the face and neck. The accent band has dual function, adding a little extra style whether the cowl is worn single or double and helping to hold the doubled cowl in place. I thought the name ‘Crimpled’ was a fun word to describe the texture of the cowl when it’s gathered into the accent band.Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.
Sample shown in petite size and knit in Bare Naked Wools Hempshaugh Lace, color Kasha.
