The main pattern in the series is strawberry. Глухотинка in Russian. so the translators once have translated this berry as strawberry, the pattern was named after dark berries, so the name stuck, but it’s not a black berry.
The Russian name is Малиновый звон. It’s a name of a song.
Sweet bells of a Russian church in the dawn, peace and quite and subtle bells in a distance. Russian fields, wide and peaceful, heart is quiet, the heart is calm.
