Inspired by Celtic copperwork, Criosanna gets it name from a Gaelic word for a woven belt. The name was chosen to reflect the intertwined nature of the Celtic knotwork.

This sweater is worked bottom up in the round with the use of steek stitches as placeholders for the armholes and both the front and neck openings. These placeholder stitches are cut open before armhole and front and neck ribbings are worked.
