On a crisp winter day, when the air is clear and cold, with snow on the branches of the trees, the lone song of single bird can be heard for miles. A blanket of snow covers the earth, children build snowmen, and lay down to create snow angels. Winter is a magical time of the year. During the day, the trees are dark underneath with white coats, but at night, the white coats shine under a starry sky, making the trees invisible.

This medium sized toe up sock is written as opposite patterns. One pattern is knit trees with purl snow and the other pattern is purl trees with knit snow. You have the option of making each sock different or two the same, depending upon your mood. The pattern is easy enough to reverse if you want to knit cuff down socks.
