The texture and beautiful hand-dyed color of Mountain Colors Merino Ribbon immediately caught my attention. Instantly I begin imagining an airy scarf that would celebrate that texture rather than obscuring it! I saw the Indian Cross stitch pattern in another design and began adapting the application of that stitch to create a more open fabric that would lend itself to the often unpredictable weather of a Colorado Mountain summer. This Criss-Cross scarf is the conclusion I reached.

As this is knit long-wise, I would suggest trying out the Indian Cross stitch pattern in a smaller sample before casting on the number of stitches required for the full length.
