This versatile cardigan is designed for brisk Bay mornings and overnight growth spurts, with forgiving 2x2 ribbing and fold-over sleeves. Let the ribbing pull in for a smaller child and block out the ribbing for a larger sweater.

Pattern notes:
The lower half of the sweater is knit flat and then bound off. Stitches are picked up along one long edge to complete the sweater from the bottom up. Sleeves are knit in the round and added to the body, with raglan and neck shaping. A neckband is then knit and seamed along the cardigan edge.
