Croc-a-tail Scarf
I first created this design while living in Singapore. Because it is always so hot, the air-conditioning is very strong and my neck would get so chilly indoors. I like to think of this scarf as the perfect “bus scarf.” Small enough to fit into your shoulder bag when not needed and the perfect size to wrap around your neck when the air conditioning is too cold on the bus.
This is a soft asymmetrical scarf with points that remind me of the spines on a crocodile’s tail. Easy enough for a beginner, it’s the perfect on-the-go project or mindless knit.
It can be made to fit any size, gauge, yarn or needles. Pattern includes 3 different variations on the shaping. I think it looks best in colorful self-striping yarns but solid or lightly textured yarns would look nice as well. Show off that one skein wonder.
