Crochet Baby SnUgg Booties
CROCHET PATTERN for Baby Ugg Booties - Keep little feet cozy and warm in these little cuties!
Make them in Chunky or Bulky weight Pure New Wool for maximum style and warmth throughout the winter. I’ve always loved UGGS and these are the closest I could get to the original sheepskin version - as cute and stylish as the real thing, but only a fraction of the cost, and with the safisfaction of making them yourself. Make them and give with love - the ultimate baby shower gift for that special little someone!
Totally Unisex design - Would look just as great in a dark color.
Pattern written for 2 sizes - American English Terms Throughout:
3-6months: 10.5cms (4 1/8”)
6-12 months: 11.5cms (4 1/2”)
For a larger size use a larger hook - US 7 or H/8.
For a smaller size, use Worsted weight yarn and a smaller hook.
To make the Crochet SnUgg Booties you will need -
Approx 115mts (126yds) of Bulky or Chunky yarn in main color.
-Sole: Double layer in two colors: approx 15mts (16yds) dark color for base and 15mtst of cream for lining.
Trim: Approx 20-25mts (22-27yds) Fuzzy yarn.
I also used 4-5mts (approx 5yds) of cream DK boucle yarn for the seams as a finish to imitate sheepskin. You could work this with any DK yarn if you prefer and you may find it easier to use a smaller size crochet hook – size 3.50mm (US E/4).
1 x 4mm crochet hook (US G/6).
6 x small buttons approx ½” to 5/8” diameter (1-1.50cm).
1 x darning needle to attach the cuff trim.
Gauge/Tension: 14sts x 17 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) using bulky yarn and a 4mm US G/6 crochet hook. This is important for achieving the correct size. If your tension is tighter use a larger hook, if it is looser a smaller hook is advisable.
The pattern includes a FULL PHOTO TUTORIAL with 40 color photos to illustrate every stage of the making process from start to finish. This means that the pattern is very easy to follow - will suit a well-practiced beginner or intermediate level crocheter with a little experience of reading patterns. I’m always on hand to help if you get stuck so you can always ask for help if you need it.
