I designed this hat to have a little more shape on top than those with the usual flat circle on top and working even for the sides. The hat is sized to fit a 56 cm (22 in) head.

The pattern is written with a slip stitch join to finish each row to allow for colour changes. The flower motif helps hide the joins. For a single colour, the hat can be worked in a spiral to avoid visible joins.

The pattern uses almost all of the recommended 160m (180 yards) of wool.

Round 13 should read: ch 1, 1 sc in first 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat * to * 5 times, sl st to join (72 sc)
