Crochet Can Cozy
A free version is also available.
Learn how to make a crochet can cozy to keep your drinks cold and your tabletops dry.
In this free easy crochet pattern, I’ll show you how to crochet a can cozy with cotton yarn. I’ll also show you how to adapt this quick and easy crochet cozy pattern to fit slim or skinny-style cans.
Measurements
Cozy measures 3″ (7.5 cm) in diameter x 4″ (10 cm) tall.
The cozy may be tight at first, but I find that the cotton yarn stretches with use.
Slim Can Cozy Variation
To make a can cozy for a slim or skinny-style can, end the bottom circle after row 4 (24 stitches). Then, continue with the pattern for the sides of the can.
Gauge
For this pattern, it’s important to meet the gauge so the cozy doesn’t slip from your can. I like to measure the bottom circle to check gauge.
Rounds 1–5 = 3″ (7.5 cm). Use any size hook to obtain the correct gauge.
Likewise, if your linen stitch is working up too tight, feel free to move up a hook size.
