The finished Chameleon when worked in 4ply yarn and with a 2.5mm hook, will measure approximately 20cm long (not including the curly tail) and 13cm high. This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension. For a larger item work in double knit, aran or chunky.

You will need dk yarn, crochet hook, medium weight garden wire, safety eyes, scissors, wire cutters, odd small buttons, darning needle and stuffing.

This pattern is fairly easy to follow but requires precise counting and basic crochet knowledge. It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK. I would say that it is not a total beginners pattern but is also not that hard.
