Cushion design inspired by nature in the style of Orla Kiely. One of four cushions originally designed to adorn a church pew bench in a country style open plan living space.

Worked in DK on a 4mm hook, stitches used - slst, dc, htr, tr, dtr, ttr.

The cushion is made up of 40 squares (14 green, 13 grey & 13 mustard) which are sewn together in the order above. Each piece is created the same way and then rotated so the leaf faces the correct way. Of course, you can rearrange the leaves in a different order if you prefer!

The reverse piece is plain in the mustard yarn, crocheted entirely in dc. Again, if you wish to change this so it matches the front you can just repeat the front then fix together. In the design as it is both pieces are joined together via dc in the cream yarn. Whilst this does not detract from the original design on the front it offers a contract to the reverse.
