When I was a little girl, my grandmother gave me a little Cradle Purse, complete with a doll, mattress, pillow and blanket. I don’t know if she made the purse or bought it, but I remember that it had a plastic bottom, cut from an oblong shaped bottle of bleach. I loved this little Cradle Purse, and I carried treasures in it well into my teens.

Fast forward to 55, why not revisit this bit of nostalgia? So, I looked at what was out there, and I decided to rework this little treasure in a way that paid homage to the old, but all in yarn…no hard, plastic bits for my babies! Lolz…

There are options for an oval bag and a more round bag. So depending on your baby’s size and shape, and your own personal preference, work this up the way you would like it to be. And use the worsted yarn you like, don’t feel you have to do like me. I am sure your cradle purse will be lovely AND fit your personality!
