This asymmetrical triangle shaped wrap can be made with any yarn, and crocheted to any size. Simply work the edging when it gets as big as it needs to be. This is the crochet version of my knitted asymmetrical triangle wrap pattern, Favorite, another free pattern on Ravelry.

Yarn: choose your favorite yarn. Yardage requirements will vary based on your yarn and the size you want to make. Here are some yardage suggestions based on my light fingering weight sample. I recommend having extra yardage just in case you need it.
Fingering weight: 600 yards
Sport weight: 550 yards
DK weight: 500 yards

Hook: Using a hook one size larger than the label recommendation on your yarn is suggested to allow for a flexible fabric. Rather than making a gauge swatch to test the hook size, just jump in and start making the wrap, and stop after 5-6 inches to decide how the piece looks and feels, as directed in the pattern.
