Crochet Flower with Button Hole
Leave behind the marvelous Magic circle, this pattern uses the chain to create a hole for a button to fit through.
Depending on yarn weight and needle size, the flower you create can vary in size. For my example, what I create the flower for, I use a G or H hook and medium weight yarn (yarn I use for project). This gives me around a 3 inch flower with a button hole that fits a 1 inch to 3/4 inch button through it.
I sew buttons onto my Mermaid tails, headbands and hats as an extra embellishment. However someone might not want the flower or to have the flower all the time. This makes the flower detachable or removable.
