Yellow
Round1-3: ch 3, turn your work sk the next st, dc in the next st, dc in the stitch that was sk (that is behind of the dc that was just made) across row, end 1 dc in last st.

Brown
Round 4: ch 3, turn your work sk the next st, dc in the next st, dc in the stitch that was sk (that is behind of the dc that was just made) across row, end 1 dc in last st.

Yellow
Round 5-7: ch 3, turn your work sk the next st, dc in the next st, dc in the stitch that was sk (that is behind of the dc that was just made) across row, end 1 dc in last st.

Brown
Round 8: Dc in each st. FO and weave the ends.

Rd 2: Turn 2 Hdc on the Hdc (2 Hdc)
Rd 3: Turn 2 Hdc on each Hdc (4 Hdc)
Rd 4: Turn 2 Hdc on the first Hdc, Hdc next 2 sts, 2 Hdc on the last st (6 Hdc)
Rd 5-7: Turn Hdc on each st (6 Hdc)
Rd 8: Turn Hdc in the first st, sk next st, Hdc in next st twice, Hdc in the last st (4 Hdc)
Rd 9: Turn sk the first st, Hdc in the next st, sk the next st, Hdc in the las st (2 Hdc)
Rd 10: Turn make a Hdc decrease (1 Hdc)
Rd 11: Don’t turn, sc around, on both corner make 3 sc.

PS: Hdc decrease:
Yo, insert hook in specified stitch and draw up a loop: three loops on the hook.
Keeping these three loops on hook, yo and draw up a loop in the next stitch (five loops now on hook), hook yarn and draw through all five loops on the hook. Half double crochet decrease made.

I used the yellow yarn and a plastic yarn needle to embroider the laces.
