I wanted to try the vintage wave, I bought the curlers with the plastic clips but they were very uncomfortable and left a dent from the plastic bar. I wanted to try foam curlers without the plastic bar but couldn’t find any, so I decided to crochet my own!
They have a handy loop that secures the curler to your head, they’re floppy so they’re comfy! You can sleep with them on. They dry easily and use up that acrylic yarn you have no other use for so they’re a really cheap make.
Customisable size instructions are included.

Materials needed

• Acrylic yarn 8ply/dk weight, 2 strands held together (1 strand aran will also work)
• 5mm hook
• Polyfill or stuffing material

Do not wash, simply allow to air dry after each use. Keep an eye out for any mold or mildew growth, discard of if this happens.
