Crochet Handbag
This pattern is
available for free.
The lower half of the bag is in crochet-work of olive macrame cord. The lining which extends beyond the crochet-work to form the pouch at the top, is of dark olive satin.
A piece of satin 7½in wide and three-quarters of a yard long is required. This piece is folded through the middle, lined 8in deep with satteen in the lower part, and sewed together along the sides. A slit is left at one side. The top is turned down 3in deep for the hem, which is sewn twice to form a casing for a ribbon drawing string. A ribbon bow is placed at one side.
