This is a pattern to cover a chocolate egg. It fits comfortably over a Cadbury Creme Egg or Kinder Egg Plastic Middle! I’m sure increasing the hook size a bit would make it large enough to become a real egg warmer - I would guess at a 3.5mm hook, but haven’t actually tried it). I’m sure it would fit over most chocolate eggs of a similar size to a Cadbury’s Creme Egg.

As well as the chocolate egg, you will need a few scraps of DK yarn, and either two beads for eyes or some embroidery thread for his mouth (I used some white DK yarn because that was what was to hand). He does stand up without the chocolate egg inside, and could easily be stuffed with something else if you wanted.
