A simple laptop case pattern for a beginner crocheter. The size of the case can be adjusted depending on the size of the laptop.

I was inspired to make this pattern by the crochet methods found on the Starling Handbag by Alice Merlino aka Futuregirl. The bag is constructed in half double crochet rounds, with a basic flap secured with buttons.

The gauge is not important, what matters is that the fabric is quite dense and the stitches tight to provide protection. I used a smaller hook relative to the yarn. Don’t hesitate to go down a hook size or two to get the stitches tight.

While I used Lion Brand Homespun, any similar weight yarn will do. I used up this skein exactly, so you will need more yarn for a bigger laptop case.
