My crochet opossum was designed with cuteness and simplicity in mind. I have given him the distinctive markings, body shape, and long, spindly tail of the opossum, but kept the amigurumi pattern beginner friendly. You’ll use aran yarn, which is fairly thick and soft to work with, and a larger 5mm crochet hook.

The details on the face were hand sewn on, just a few stitches with yarn and a thick needle.
