Crochet Pumpkin Patch

This is a perfect adventurous beginner project!

Make yourself a squishy pumpkin to use in October for the spooky season. Or even better make yourself a whole pumpkin patch!

Pattern is fully tested.

Sizes
One size 10cm/4in x 24cm/9.5in measured flat before seaming.
Stuffed pumpkin will be approximately 5cm/2in tall and 9cm/3.5in wide.

Materials
1 ball 25g Rico Ricorumi Print DK, DK weight 58m/63yds 100% Cotton Mustard Mix shade (002)
3mm hook (US -)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Scissors
10g Polyester Toy Stuffing
Cinnamon stick or twig for stalk

Tension
26 sts and 13 rows in stitch pattern to 10cm/4in using 3mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension). Tension is not critical for this pattern but you want a dense enough fabric so the stuffing does not show.

Construction
Pumpkin is made in rows from side to side and then crocheted together to create a tube. The row ends are then gathered and stitched at one end before stuffing. The open end is then gathered and stitched, finishing off with a cinnamon stick or natural twig.

Skills Needed
Chain, double crochet and half treble crochet stitches, working into chains and back loops.
