This really is such an easy way to make a crochet pumpkin, it’s an ideal project for a complete beginner, and I’ll bet that once you’ve made your first one, you’ll want to go on and make a whole pumpkin patch full of them!
It’s so easy to make, because it’s made by crocheting a simple rectangle, which can be adjusted to make any size pumpkin you want.

You can use any type of yarn that you have to make these… I’ve made them in very fine cotton right up to chunky yarns.
The hook size depends on the yarn you’re using, but I use a hook one full size smaller than the recommended for the yarn, that way the stuffing is less likely to show through. (This is the same for any design of this type)
