Yarn
To make 2 purses:
Jamieson’s of Shetland double knitting (DK weight; 100% Shetland Wool; 75m per 25g ball)
1 x 25g of Daffodil (390)
1 x 25g Sholmit (103)
One ball each of the above colours will allow you to make two purses (1 stripe & 1 flower / 2 stripes / 2 flower purses) If you use Daffodil (390) as yarn A, use Sholmit (103) as yarn B. Then for the second purse use Sholmit (103) as yarn A & Daffodil (390) as yarn B.
Tension
19 sts and 20 rows to 10cm square over double crochet (dc) using 4mm hook.
Needles & Accessories
4mm hook (UK/Canadian 8 or Japanese 7/0)
Sew-on purse frame 3.75 inch
Small tapestry needle (that goes through the holes of the frame (1-1.2mm diameter)
A pair of pliers
2 x Stitch markers (m)
Small piece of waste fabric (optional - this is used to protect the frame when squeezing the ends)
Textile glue (optional)
