Inspired by Crochet Kitten’s Sampler Scarf pattern (no longer listed on Ravelry) I designed this scarf as a perfect project for beginners:

• Practice basic techniques like working into the foundation chain
• Practice foundational stitches like single and double crochet
• Use additional stitches like half double and treble crochet
• Learn how to change colours and block squares
• Practice making squares without taking on a large project like an afghan
• Learn how to edge and join squares

I teach how to make this scarf in a workshop which will soon be available to take online.

This pattern will also soon be updated with links to YouTube videos as published, links to in person and online workshops, alternate squares that can be made for those who are looking for a more intermediate project and charts for each square.
