This adorable crochet security blanket is made using a technique called amigurumi -- a Japanese style of crochet used to make stuffed toys. To achieve this, you use a small hook with worsted weight yarn to get a very tight, sturdy stitch. The body of the blanket is worked back-and-forth, finished with knots and a natural wood ring for added sensory (and teething!) play. Works up quickly, uses only half a skein of yarn and makes a unique handmade baby shower gift.

This is an easy pattern to follow provided you have basic crochet skills and a bit of experience reading patterns and crocheting in the round. Written in American crochet terms. You will need a steel size 2 (1.95mm) hook, size H (5.0mm) hook, soft worsted weight yarn (red heart soft used in photos), polyfibre stuffing and a natural wood ring - https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/176492667/wood-teething-r...
