This is simple but very elegant design, you will only have to master the puff stitch and the tr (treble), the sort of project that crochet itself ones you are watching tele! I have made this crochet scarf a medium size, you can carry on adding rows to make it a much bigger shawl. this crochet pattern starts in the corner and it grows upwards.

Size:

Scarf: Approx. 38 inches and with 27 inches drop
Shawl: Approx 58 inches and with a 47 inches drop

This pattern is written in American standard terms

200g Drops Lima Wool and Alpaca mix (for the small scarf, for the larger shawl you will need 350g)
Size hook G (4 mm)
Tapestry needle

Level: Advanced beginner.
