The pattern is written in UK crochet terms but contains a glossary and translation to US crochet terms. As the whole pattern uses dc stitches, it would be easy for a US crochet folks to just use sc throughout instead.

This is a completely altered and updated re-written pattern for this design and so is totally different from the magazine.
