Crochet Snowflake Potholders
To crochet this potholder as shown, you’ll need two different yarn weights.
For the body of the potholder you’ll need worsted weight cotton yarn in two different contrasting colors; for the snowflake applique, you’ll need a lighter weight of cotton thread or yarn. I’ve worked this potholder several times and have successfully used size 3 cotton crochet thread (Royale Fashion was the brand I used, but feel free to use any comparable crochet thread.) I also used Knitpicks Simply Cotton Sport organic yarn to crochet the snowflake applique. That’s what you see pictured here on this page.
I imagine you could also use embroidery floss to crochet the snowflakes, although I haven’t tried that yet.
