This is an advanced beginner to intermediate skilled pattern.

This pattern requires the knowledge of basic crochet stitches, along with how to do a front post single crochet and a front post double crochet.

For this pattern, you will a size I hook (5.25mm or 5.5mm). If you have a loser tension, or smaller head size, I’d recommend using a 5.25mm. If you have tighter tension or a larger head size, I’d recommend using a 5.5mm. (If you have a head larger than the size stated, you can either upsize your hook or add another increase row).

This pattern does offer the option to customize the hat by having a shorter/longer brim, choosing between 2 flower choices (or no flowers), and choosing whether to work with one or more colors.

Minimal sewing is needed, as the only sewing involved is with the flowers. You could also choose to add a button to change out flowers instead of sewing the flower on.

This pattern gives plenty of details and guidance on how to complete this, but also allows some creative freedom for the maker.
