Crochet Whorl Shell
by Allie Briggs
This pattern is perfect for somewhat new crocheters looking to expand their skills. The shell can be made using any size needle and yarn weight-–just pair your yarn weight and needle size to make sure you are able to make your stitches tight so the shell is able to hold its shape by itself. To make a large shell, use thick yarn, like Medium weight, with a hook size J to L—this shell will be big enough to wear like a hat. :).
This pattern contains 4 parts and contains 21 pairs of rows, and requires the following stitch types: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.
