As a crochet and a plant lover, I came up with this pattern when I was trying to accommodate my air plant babies but actually, as you can use any yarn you like, you can make bigger and smaller baskets and give them different uses. I used a worsted weight yarn and a 4.0 mm crochet hook and my basket measures about 12 cm from its bottom to the top of the ring. If you want to make a bigger basket, you just need to change the yarn and the hook you’re using – for the big ones I made I used t-shirt yarn and 10 mm hook (they measure approximately 30 cms).
